The petitioner filed the present writ petition alleging illegal and unauthorized construction at premises no. 40, G.T. Road, South Howrah, Ward No. 29, Borough-IV under jurisdiction of Howrah Municipal Corporation.

After filing the writ petition, the petitioner has communicated to his learned advocate that he does not intend to proceed with the writ petition any further. In view of the communication of the petitioner, the writ petition stands dismissed as 'not pressed'.

The written instruction given by the petitioner to his learned advocate be taken on record.

Dismissal of the writ petition will, however, not stand in the way of the Howrah Municipal Corporation to take steps against any unauthorized construction at the aforesaid address.
