Heard the learned Advocates for the parties.

We have considered the materials on record.

Petitioners are in custody for two years and two months. Statements of witnesses and contemporaneous document i.e. seizure memorandum show recovery of 10 ltrs. of codeine mixture along with arms and ammunitions. Trial has commenced and one witness has already been examined. 3.

In view of aforesaid circumstances and as petitioners were apprehended not only with narcotics but with firearms, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is rejected.

We request the trial court to conduct trial with utmost expedition by fixing schedules at short intervals and conclude

the same at an early date preferably within 18 months from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. 6.

Parties shall co-operate and communicate this order to the Trial Court for due compliance.
