Challenging the selection of the respondent no.1 in the post of auxiliary nurse and midwife for Mukundapur Sub-Centre under Bishnupur II Block, District - 24-Parganas (South) and seeking a further direction for the appointment of the writ petitioner in the post, the present writ petition was preferred. The selection process was initiated in 2005. The panel prepared for the post has expired by efflux of time. I am of the view that the writ petition has become infructuous. Consequently, the writ petition stands disposed of without any order.

Interim order passed earlier in the writ petitioner stands vacated.
