Sr. Adv., Mr. Subhojit Saha ...for the respondent no.7 The short question raised in the instant writ petition is disposal of certain company applications that arose out of transfer petition No. TP 445/KB/2019 that was originally numbered as C.P. No.611 of 1988 before the High Court. There are large number of applications pending and large number of parties.

The matters have been fixed on 1st and 6th April, 2022 by the National Company Law Tribunal, Eastern Region Bench, Kolkata. The petitioner wants expeditious disposal of the said matter, since he is 96 years old.

The prayer is innocuous and cannot be seriously opposed by any side. However, the respondents have indicated that the reason

behind the delay is that the pleadings and issues are voluminous. This Court, therefore, directs the National Company Law Tribunal, Eastern Region Bench, Kolkata to dispose of the aforesaid pending litigation, preferably within a period of one month from 1st April, 2022 which are the next dates fixed for hearing of the aforementioned application at the NCLT. Even assuming that the matters stretch beyond the period of one month, every attempt shall be made to be disposed of these proceedings on priority within a period of two months from date.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
