1. Learned counsel for the appellant seeks to withdraw this intra-court appeal with the liberty to file appropriate application seeking intervention in the pending Contempt Petition No. CPAN 199 of 2020 along with an application seeking modification/alteration of the order dated 20th February, 2026.

2. Shri Chatterjee, learned government counsel has no objection to this innocuous prayer.

3. Nobody entered appearance for the writ petitioner.

4. This appeal is permitted to be withdrawn with the liberty to file appropriate application for intervention as well as application for modification on the ground that Contempt Court cannot travel beyond the scope of main order and other permissible grounds.

5. The appeal is dismissed as withdrawn with the liberty prayed for.

6. It is made clear that this court has not expressed any opinion on merits and on tenability of said applications.
