It is necessary for us to know as to when actually the charge-sheet was submitted before the learned trial Court. The Prosecution says that it was so done before expiry of 180 days from the date of arrest of the petitioner. The petitioner says it was done beyond 180 days.

The State shall file a report with supporting documents in this regard showing the exact date of filing of the charge-sheet before the learned trial Court.
