Petitioner is in custody for more than two years. He submits there is no direct evidence connecting him with murder. He renews his bail prayer.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer. She contends petitioner had motive to commit the crime. He was seen with the victim prior to the incident. 3.

We have considered the materials on record. There are materials implicating the petitioner in the murder. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected earlier on merits. Trial is in progress.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

We request the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. (Gaurang Kanth, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
