Vineet Gupta Mr. Sanjib Seth ... For the petitioner This application is filed with a prayer for expeditious disposal of the Matrimonial Suit No.1050 of 2019.

Considering the nature of prayer, i.e., expeditious disposal, I find hardly any necessity to ask for service of notice upon the opposite party. Thus, service of notice upon the opposite party stands dispensed with. From the record, it appears that on 8th April, 2021, a coordinate Bench of this Court passed direction upon the learned Judge to expedite the hearing of the matrimonial suit and dispose of the same expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the next date fixed without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties in connection with CO 806 of 2021. On careful perusal of the copies of the order sheets, I find that the suit is being dragged due to adjournments on several occasions in spite of order of this Court in connection with CO 806 of 2021.

In the aforesaid view of the matter, the learned Additional District Judge, 3rd Court, Howrah, is requested to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No.1050 of 2019, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of this order without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties to the suit. With the above observation, the revisional application, being CO 679 of 2023, stands disposed of. Let a copy of this order be communicated to the learned Additional District Judge, 3rd Court, Howrah, for strict compliance of the order.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
