The petitioner is in custody for more than 10 months and prays for bail.

Learned counsels for the State and the de facto complainant oppose the prayer.

The material in the case diary including the injury report of the victim and statement of the victim as well as other witnesses clearly implicate the petitioner in the alleged offence.

Considering the gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, the prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is thus disposed of. Case diary be returned.
