Having heard the submissions made on behalf of the parties, it appears that the order passed by this Court dated 21st December, 2023 in WPA 26160 of 2018 whereby direction was given upon the respondent authorities to promote the petitioner to the post of Sanitary Inspector, appears to have been complied with. The order of promotion dated 27th June, 2024

was filed before this Court on the last occasion and the same is lying on record.

In view of steps taken by the alleged contemnors in promoting the petitioner to the post of Sanitary Inspector, this Court finds no further order need to be passed in this contempt application.

Accordingly, the contempt application stands disposed of and contempt proceeding stands dropped.

However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to take steps in accordance with law if he has grievance relating to the steps taken by the alleged contemnors pursuant to the order dated 21st December, 2023.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertakings.
