This is an application for enlargement of bail of the petitioner. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for over two years without framing of charges. It appears from the record that the matter is fixed on March 17, 2022 for framing of charges.

It is extremely unfortunate that the charges have not been framed till date.

Accordingly, we direct the learned Sessions Judge, Nadia, to consider framing of charges when this matter is fixed before the learned trial Judge and to conclude the trial within nine months from the date of commencement of trial.

The learned trial Court is requested not to grant any unnecessary

adjournment to either of the parties unless there are unavoidable circumstances.
