that a draft Scheme for compassionate appointment in the Universities and the Government aided Colleges in the State of West Bengal has been prepared by the Higher Education Department duly vetted by the Labour Department and Law Department and was under active consideration of the Finance Department of the Government of W.B.

Let the Finance Department take a decision in this regard as expeditiously as possible.

Let a further report be filed by the State in this regard. It shall also throw light on whether the petitioners are entitled to receive other retiral benefits, besides compassionate appointment.

Let the report be filed within two weeks from this date. Exception, if any, be taken within a week therefrom. List this matter for hearing under the heading "To Be Mentioned" after three weeks.
