akb Mr. Bidyut Kumar Halder Mr. Indranil Halder ...For the petitioner Ms. Smita Das Dey ...For the Respondents CESC In view of the urgency, the matter is taken up for hearing. The application being CAN 1 of 2020 (C.A.N. 4341 of 2020) is disposed of.

This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioner is aggrieved by the action on the part of the respondents CESC Limited of disconnection of his electricity supply line for non-payment of electricity consumption charges. The supply line was disconnected on February 14, 2019.

It is submitted by the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the CESC Authorities that there are outstanding dues.

Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits the his client is now ready and willing to make the payment of the same as also deposit the security deposit that is required to be paid for a new connection. At the same time learned Counsel for the CESC Authorities submits that upon compliance of all formalities by the petitioner, the CESC Authorities shall do the same. In the light of the above submissions, the petitioner is directed to make payment of the outstanding dues as also for the new connection charges within a period

of two weeks from date. Once the sum is paid, the CESC Authorities are directed to reconnect the electricity service line of the petitioner within a period of seven days from the date of payment of reconnection charges and upon compliance of all formalities by the petitioner. With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition is disposed of.

Since, no affidavit-in-opposition has been called for, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have not been admitted by the respondents.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
