1. The affidavit-in-opposition filed in Court today is taken on record.

At the outset, Mr. Roy Chowdhury, inviting my attention to Regulation 24 of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (Agents) Regulation, 2017, submits that after the rejection of an appeal preferred against an order under the Regulation, there is a provision for addressing a memorial to the Chairman of the Corporation. The petitioner has directly approached this Hon'ble Court without filing such a memorial. Therefore, since the writ petition has been filed without exhausting the alternative remedy available under the Regulation, the petition is not maintainable.

3. Mr. Samanta, learned Advocate representing the petitioner, submits that the petitioner be granted

leave to file such a memorial and that the delay in filing the memorial be condoned.

4. In view of the submissions made by the respective parties, the writ petition is disposed of, granting liberty to the petitioner to address a memorial to the Chairman of the Corporation within a period of one month from the date of this order.

5. In the event that such a memorial is filed, the Chairman of the Corporation shall consider the issue raised in the memorial and decide the matter in accordance with law, without raising any plea of delay in filing the memorial.

6. With this observation and order, this writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
