Mr. Sudip Kumar ....for the State Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioner is for expeditious disposal of G. R.Case No. 386 of 2017 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 3rd Court, Berhampore, Murshidabad the matter may be disposed of without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. It appears that cognizance of the charge sheet was taken by the learned Trial Court on June 13, 2017. Since then there has been no progress in the proceedings.

In view of the above, the learned Trial Court is directed to consider framing of charge or otherwise on the next date fixed before it and in case the same is not possible, within one month from the said date. The learned Trial Court shall dispose of the proceedings as expeditiously as possible, preferably within 18 months from the date of consideration of charge. CRR No. 830 of 2024 is disposed of accordingly. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
