In this petition the petitioner has raised a grievance in respect of grant of restaurant-cum-bar licence to one "Puja Restaurant-cum-Bar" at Village Dakhsin Raipur 12 No Gheri, School More, Post Office Gheri Raipur, Police Station Dholahat, District South 24-Parganas. The plea of the petitioner is that near the proposed bar-cum-restaurant there is a school and there are three temples.

Record reflects that the petitioner had filed the representation dated 03.11.2017 before the respondent no.5/Block Development Officer.

Since no one is present for the petitioner and the writ petition itself is pending for last three years, hence, we deem it proper to dispose of the petition with a direction to the respondent no.5 to consider and take an appropriate decision on the petitioner's pending representation in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months

from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.

The respondent no.5, if need arises, duly send the report to the respondent no.2 for appropriate action. Counsel for the State is directed to convey a copy of this order along with a copy of the petition to the respondent no.5. He is also permitted to obtain a photocopy of the petition along with the enclosures from the office at his own cost.
