The petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the Executive Engineer (Building Department), Borough XII, Kolkata Municipal Corporation in providing necessary information sought for under the Right to Information Act, 2005.

The petitioner submits that several representations were filed but there is no response from the end of the concerned authority.

The relief sought for cannot be granted to the petitioner in this case.

There is a remedy provided under the Right to Information Act mentioning the steps to be taken in the event information is not provided by the concerned authority.

It will be open for the petitioner to seek remedy in terms of the said Act.

The writ petition stands dismissed.
