1. By way of filing this public interest litigation the petitioner prays for issuance of a mandamus challenging the appointment of the respondent no.4 as a director of Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (ICAS).

2. The learned advocate appearing for the respondent no.3 submitted that the 4th respondent has resigned and his resignation has been accepted and in this regard a copy of the office memorandum dated 15th April, 2024 and other communications sent to various authorities have been produced and the same are taken on record.

3. In the light of the above, nothing survives to be considered in this writ petition. With the

aforesaid observation, the writ petition is dismissed.
