The petitioner is in custody for 205 days.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the offences alleged are triable by the learned Magistrate. The charge-sheet has been submitted. All the documents have been seized. Further detention of the petitioner is not required.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record.

The petitioner appears to have duped the defacto complainant and other persons with the assurance of arranging for educational loan and have siphoned huge amount of money from the bank accounts opened by the victims at the instance of the petitioner. There is every chance of the petitioner influencing the witnesses, if released on bail at this stage. Considering the material on record connecting the petitioner to the alleged offence, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is disposed of.
