The father of the petitioner who was a teacher of a primary school died in harness on 30th January, 2017. Application was made by the petitioner on 31st March, 2017.
Though it appears from the hand-written note that is appearing in the body of the application filed by the petitioner dated 31st March, 2017 for consideration of the matter as per norms, regulations and rules and the said application was forwarded to the Chairman of the District Primary School Council, South 24-Parganas but till date the same has not been considered.
In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the South 24-Parganas District
Primary School Council to consider the application made by the petitioner for being appointed on compassionate ground strictly in accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of ten weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.
The said respondent shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately thereafter.
The petitioner is directed to forward a copy of his application dated 31st March, 2017 to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.
The writ petition stands disposed of.
