This is a writ petition in the nature of a public interest litigation.

The petitioner herein prays for the following reliefs :- "a) Issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus commanding the state respondent to hand over all the papers pertaining to PMAY(G) under 5 no. Mahisagote Gram Panchayat, Contai, Purba Medinipur, to any independent agency like Central Bureau of Investigation;

b) Issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus commanding the Central Bureau of Investigation to start a criminal case and investigate the matter independently and file a report within a specified period of time so fixe by this Hon'ble Court.

c) A writ in the nature of Certiorari commanding the Respondent and/or their main, agents, subordinates to transmit all relevant records pertaining to this case before this Hon'ble Court so that conscionable justice may be administered;

d) Rule NISI in terms of prayers (a) and (b) above;

None appears on behalf of either of the parties. 4.

The issue raised is pertaining to the misappropriation of the Government money under PMAY(G). A representation dated 17.01.2023 was made by the petitioner to the District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur, Tamluk.

Since none appears on behalf of petitioner in Court today which shows that the petitioner must have lost interest in this matter.

If the petitioner is still aggrieved by the inaction of the respondent authorities as complained of in the earlier representation, liberty is granted to the petitioner to make a fresh representation before the District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur who shall consider the representation in accordance with law.

The PIL is disposed of. However, it is made clear that the Court has not gone into the merits of the case.
