Petitioner submits she is a relation of the principal accused. She did not assault the deceased. Accordingly, she prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

We have considered the statements of witnesses including the injured witness. Initially the principal accused assaulted the victim with sharp cutting weapons. When the victim fell down petitioner and others also assaulted him as well as the injured witness.

In light of the active role played by the petitioner in the crime leading to the murder of the victim, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to her.
