Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the Officer-in-charge, Sandeshkhali Police Station is not taking appropriate steps in respect of the private respondents who are bent upon to forcefully occupy the water body wherein fisheries have been carried out by the petitioner. It has been alleged that the private respondents are using their muscle power and are trying to take possession of the water body and the usufructs therefrom.

State has submitted a report. Report reflects that there was a lease agreement earlier existing.

Be that as it may since the main issue is a dispute between the petitioner and the private respondents, police authorities would ensure that there is no breach of the peace and/or tranquility

and/or any other untoward incident resulting from the inimical relationship existing between the parties.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 5149 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
