1. We have heard the learned advocates for the parties. The order and direction issued on 22.07.2024 has been complied with and a sum of Rs.30,75,213/- has been paid to the respondents/writ petitioners, which is acknowledged by them.

2. The learned advocate for the appellant/university submitted that in the contempt proceedings the learned Single Bench has directed personal appearance of the officials of the appellant university and prayers for appropriate direction have been made in this regard.

3. Since the contempt proceeding is now pending before the learned Single Bench, it is for the learned Single Bench to pass appropriate orders. All that we can observe is that since the matter is amicably settled, it is well open to the appellant/university to pray before the

learned Single Bench for dispensing with the personal appearance of the officials of the appellant/university.

4. With the aforesaid observations, the appeal and the connected applications are disposed of.
