Chowdhury (Bardhan) ....for the petitioner Mr. Sudip Ghosh Mr. Bitasok Banerjee ....for the State Apparently, a free fight took place between the two parties where, two police complaints were lodged. One of the injured in respect of the police case suffered 10 cm. cut injury over the scalp. The doctor treating the victim classified the injury as 'scalp adema'.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners in the incident as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 977 of 2023 is dismissed.
