The petitioner's prayer in the writ petition is as follows:- "a) A writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents, their his servants, agents and subordinates to declare the acquisition as declared in the declaration dated 20.03.2002, as lapsed acquisition process and make the petitioner's land free from said acquisition."

It transpires from the status report filed by the State respondents that notification under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act I of 1894 was published on 31st January, and declaration under

Section 6 of the Act of 1894 was published on 20th March, 2002. The process of acquisition was completed and award was granted in the name of the petitioner.

Thereafter, compensation was paid to a representative of the petitioner on 30th March, 2004 in respect of the acquired land of the petitioner as appears from Annexure A/4 to the writ petition.

In view of the same, the writ petition is no longer maintainable and as such the writ petition being W.P.A.5873 of 2021 is dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
