Learned advocate for Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation submits that unless the petitioner obtains a mutation certificate from the Urban Development Department, Government of West Bengal, the application for mutation cannot be processed. In this regard, the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner draws attention of this court to a letter dated June 27, 2023 issued by the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation.

In view of the aforesaid stand of the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation, I grant liberty to the petitioner to make an application before the Urban Development Department, Government of West Bengal

for mutation. Such application should be considered by the relevant authority within one month from the date of communication of this order.

Needless to mention that if the petitioner is granted mutation certificate by the said department, the petitioner will be at liberty to approach the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation for the mutation. Accordingly, WPA 5385 of 2024 is disposed of. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
