This is an application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure filed by the petitioner for quashing of the proceedings of G.R. Case No.22 of 2015 arising out of Baguiati Police Station Case No.11 dated 6th January, 2015 under Sections 420/ 465/ 467/ 468/ 471/ 474/ 120B of the Indian Penal Code pending before the Court of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, North 24 Parganas.

None appears for the petitioner. No interim order is subsisting. It further transpires that in compliance of the direction of this Court, the Administrative Notice, was served upon the petitioner and despite that he did not turn up. It also transpires from such report that the opposite party no.2 had died on 27th June, 2020 and the death certificate is also annexed with the report.

In view of the above circumstances, since none appears on behalf of the petitioner and considering the long pendency of the matter, this Court finds no reason to keep the matter pending any further.

Accordingly, criminal revisional application being, C.R.R. 348 of 2015 stands dismissed for default.

Let a copy of this order be sent to the Trial Court below by the Department forthwith.
