The writ petition was filed alleging that the result of the examination for the post of Homeopathic Doctor on a contractual basis in Ballavpur Gram Panchayat under Debra Panchayat Samiti had not been published. The petitioner claims to have been an applicant for the said post.

Learned counsel appearing for the State, however, has produced documents indicating that appointment has already been made in favour of one Dr. Satyapriya Samanta. It is contended that an agreement has already been executed by the concerned Gram Panchayat with Dr. Satyapriya Samanta in connection with his engagement.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that Dr. Satyapriya Samanta had not applied for the post.

Dr. Satyapriya Samanta is not a party to the present writ petition, and there is no pleading in the writ petition challenging his appointment.

In view of the aforesaid, WPA 5207 of 2025 is dismissed, with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the appointment of the selected candidate in accordance with law.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
