Affidavit of service filed. Let it be taken on record. 2.

Present petition has been filed seeking direction for expeditious disposal of Misc. DV Case No. 19 of 2019 corresponding to TR No. 42 of 2019.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petition is pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, 1st Court at Contai, Purba Medinipur. However, no proceedings are taking place in the present case and even the interim maintenance has not been granted. Learned counsel submits that, therefore, appropriate direction may be issued for the expeditious disposal. The notice was issued to the opposite parties and the learned advocate representing the opposite parties.

Perusal of the record indicates that the application for interim maintenance is still pending.

In the circumstances, Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, 1st Court at Contai, Purba Medinipur, is directed to dispose of

the application for interim maintenance and the proceedings under DV Act expeditiously in accordance with the law without granting any unnecessary adjournment to the parties.

Hence, the petition stands disposed of.
