Petitioner seeks reconnection of electric supply. Learned Advocate appearing for the distribution company submits that the petitioner raised disputes with regard to the bills issued by the distribution company in respect of the previous supply. Such disputes are yet to be decided. The distribution company is ready and willing to reconnect the electric supply to the petitioner subject to the petitioner depositing the amount claimed. According to her, there is an outstanding sum of Rs.36,225/- from the petitioner.

There is a complaint pending before the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum at the behest of the petitioner. Without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties in the pending complaint, it would be appropriate to permit the petitioner to deposit the sum of Rs.36,225/- with the distribution company. Upon such deposit being made and upon the petitioner complying with all other formalities and paying the

costs, charges and expenses for the reconnection, the distribution company will proceed to reconnect the electric supply to the petitioner within seven days thereafter.

WPA 5888 of 2021 is disposed of accordingly without any order as to costs.

Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of the requisite formalities.
