Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the police authorities have arrested the petitioner because of a political vendetta being involved and the petitioner is in custody for about 100 days.

Learned advocate for the State refers to the seizure list which reflects that from the joint possession of 3 accused persons including the present petitioner there has been recovery of 383 Gms. of Brown Sugar.

In view of the quantum of seizure, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail as the rigors of Section 37 of the NDPS Act is attracted.

As such, CRM (NDPS) 428 of 2026 is dismissed. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
