1. Heard learned lawyers for the parties.

2. We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses show petitioner had participated in the assault of the victim who ultimately died. Victim was a witness in an earlier case.

3. In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and the gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
