Gupta, learned Senior Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the admission of unfilled B.D.S. seat in Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College and Hospital has not been filled up yet and the petitioner being an eligible candidate having qualified in NEET should be allowed to get admission in Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College and Hospital.

Mr.

Dutta, learned Senior Advocate appearing for the State submits that no seats are available in Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College and Hospital except one seat from the Central Pool which was nominated to a student from Meghalaya though the student has not taken admission yet.

Mr. Tewari, learned Counsel appearing for

the Union of India submits that the last date fixed by the Dental Council of India for admission in B.D.S. Course was 18th February, 2021, in view of the judgement of the Hon'ble Supreme Court. So, there is no scope for admission in B.D.S. Course today. Heard all the parties.

The last date for taking admission in B.D.S. Course was 18th February, 2021 as fixed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court. The vacant seat from the Central Pool is already nominated to a candidate from Meghalaya, though the student has not taken admission in such seat and the seat may be vacant today but the prayer of the petitioner cannot be considered in view of the judgement of the Hon'ble Supreme Court and as the last date for admission in B.D.S. Course was on 18th February, 2021.

W.P.A. 5903 of 2021 is disposed of.

Since no affidavits have been invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted by the respondents. There will be no order as to costs.

The parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
