And In Re : Sanjib Chowdhury ...... petitioner Mr. Tamal Singha Roy .....for the petitioner Mr. Soumik Ganguly Ms. Ayana Dey ..... for the State 1.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits injury is not grievous. He has been falsely implicated. He prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned Counsel for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

We have considered the materials on record. A coordinate Bench had turned down prayer of the co-accused on the premise that they are local rowdies. As petitioner stands on the same footing with co-accused we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to him.

4. Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. 5.

It shall be open to the petitioner to appear before the jurisdictional court and pray for regular bail within seven

days from date. In the event he does so the court shall consider his bail prayer independently and in accordance with law. (Gaurang Kanth, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
