The petitioner participated in the recruitment process initiated by the District Primary School Council, Howrah in the year 2009-2010.

He is not aware as to whether his name appeared in the merit list of the selected candidates. He made an application under the Right to Information Act, 2005 seeking information with regard to the total marks obtained by him. The said application was made on February 23, 2015. Thereafter, the petitioner did not follow up the matter.

In March the petitioner made a representation to the Council praying for issuing appointment letter in his favour. There is nothing on

record to show that the name of the petitioner appeared in the list of selected candidates.

The petitioner has also not forwarded any explanation as to why he approached this Court in the year 2022 after the final merit list was published in the year 2015-2016.

Learned advocate representing the Council submits that all appointments in respect of the said selection process were complete by the year 2015-2016. In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant writ petition at such a delayed point of time.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties after completion of all legal formalities.
