Mr. Avijit Chakraborty .... For the Petitioner Mr. R. Lall .... For the CESC The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the refusal of the CESC Authorities to provide a fresh electricity meter to the petitioner.
Mr. Lall, learned advocate appears on behalf of the CESC Authorities and submits that this is a case of splitting of load and the matter should be referred to the Grievance Redressal Officer or the OMBUDSMAN.
It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that in terms of the letter addressed by the CESC, the petitioner wishes to approach the Regional Manager of the CESC for ventilating her grievance.
In view of the aforesaid, W.P.A. 5923 of 2021 is disposed of by directing the petitioner to approach the Regional Manager of the CESC Authorities within a period of two weeks from date. After such representation is made to the Regional Manager of the CESC Authorities, he shall consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner within a
period of four weeks from the date of receipt of such representation after giving a right of hearing to all the affected parties and pass a reasoned order.
With the aforesaid directions, W.P.A. 5923 of 2021 is disposed of.
There shall be no order as to costs.
Photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities. (Ravi Krishan Kapur, J.)
