1. By way of this public interest litigation the petitioners allege that the private respondents are running a poultry firm illegally.

2. The learned Government counsel has produced a written instruction given by the SubDivisional Officer, Sadar, Bankura dated 05.03.2024 from which it is seen that appropriate approvals have been granted by the Pollution Control Board as well as the local body etc.

3. The question would be as to whether the 13th and 14th respondents are following the conditions stipulated by the Pollution Control Board and the other authorities.

4. Therefore, we dispose of this writ petition by directing the concerned District Pollution Control

Officer to conduct a surprise inspection of the premises of the 13th respondent and to ensure that the matters are being done in accordance with law.

5. This surprise inspection be conducted within a period of three weeks from the date on which the server copy of this order by the Pollution Control Board is received and upon inspection an appropriate reply be sent to the writ petitioners within two weeks on which the inspection is completed.
