Mr. Lalratan Mondal Mr. Dilip Kumar Sadhu ..for the petitioner In this matter the unmarried daughter prays for granting him family pension. The petitioner's father retired in 1981 and expired in 1988. Thereafter, her mother was getting the family pension. Her mother expired in 2006 and from 2006 she is not getting the family pension. The petitioner has come before this court after seventeen years from the date of last family pension received by her mother. The petitioner has spent last 17 years without family pension which shows that she can live without family pension. This application is delayed by 17 years and I refuse to exercise my jurisdiction on the ground of delay.

The writ application is dismissed.
