Report submitted by the State is taken on record. Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The petitioner is in custody for more than 5 years and prays for bail.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that 9 out of 61 witnesses have been examined and trial is not expected to be concluded in near future.

Opposing the prayer, learned counsel for the State submits that bail prayer of the co accused standing on the same footing as the petitioner has been turned down as recently as on 17th April, 2025. The petitioner is identified in TI parade. Vulnerable witnesses are yet to be examined. I have considered the material on record. The evidence on record prima facie suggests involvement of the petitioner in the alleged offence. Vulnerable witnesses are yet to be examined. The petitioner has been identified in TI parade. If

the petitioner is released on bail at this stage, chances of winning over witnesses cannot be ruled out.

Considering the material available on record as well as prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the alleged offence, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage. However, in view of the period of incarceration of the petitioner, learned trial Court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion as expeditiously as possible, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. The application for bail is thus disposed of. Case diary be returned.
