Challenge in the present petition filed way back in the year 2010 is of an order No.57 of 2009 passed by the District Magistrate, Murshidabad imposing restrictions under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code with effect from January 1, 2010.

On perusal of the impugned order it appears that restrictions were imposed on the Indo - Bangladesh border to stop smuggling and illegal activities. The movement was restricted from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Nothing survives to the aforesaid petition as the restrictions were imposed more than 10 years ago to check the unlawful activities on the Indo - Bangladesh border.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed as infractuous.
