Mr. Bidyut Kumar Halder Mr. Indranil Halder ..for the petitioner Mr. Asif Dewan ...for WBSEDCL The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking an electricity connection for his submersible pump set.

Learned counsel appearing for WBSEDCL submits that WBSEDCL has quoted an amount of Rs. 7,11,497/- for providing such a connection. It is further submitted that the installation of a transformer with a load capacity of 25 K.V.A is required.

Mr. Bidyut Kumar Halder, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, submits that the amount quoted by WBSEDCL is exorbitant and prays that the dispute be resolved by the concerned Grievance Redressal Officer.

In light of the foregoing, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to submit a

representation before the concerned Grievance Redressal Officer within a period of three weeks from the date of this order. Upon the submission of such a representation, the concerned Grievance Redressal Officer shall adjudicate the matter in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity for a hearing to both the petitioner and the representatives of WBSEDCL, within a period of one month thereafter.

Accordingly, WPA 6453 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
