Re : An application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Mr. S. G. Mukherjee, ld. PP, Mr. Arijit Ganguly Mr. Sanjib Kumar Dan ....for the State.

The revisional application was preferred for quashing of the M. P. Case No. 2194 of 2020 which was a proceeding under Section 144(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure pending before the learned Executive Magistrate, Barasat, North 24 Paraganas. More than two years have passed since the initiation of such proceedings.

Having considered the dispute, which is private and personal in nature, I hold that the proceeding before the learned Executive Magistrate is infructuous in view of the period of time which has elapsed.

Accordingly, M. P. Case No. 2194 of 2020 is deemed to be quashed. No further order need be passed.

As such, the present revisional application being CRR 586 of 2021 is disposed of.
