Matter is taken up for consideration when Mr. Bibek Jyoti Basu, learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 8th April, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Panskura Police Station, Purba Medinipur and same is taken on record. Copies of the said communication dated 8th April, 2026 are made over to the learned advocates representing the petitioner and the private respondent.

It is disclosed in the communication dated 8th April, 2026 that in connection with criminal prosecution being Panskura P.S. Case No.59 of 2026 dated 18th January, 2026 on concluding investigation charge-sheet being no.84 of 2026 dated 25th February, 2026 was submitted before the jurisdictional Magistrate. It is also disclosed in the said communication that though accused person was tried to be apprehended on making several raids but till date he has not been apprehended.

However, learned advocate representing the respondent no.6 has submitted that though application for prearrest bail of respondent no.6 was rejected but on surrendering he was enlarged on bail.

In view of aforesaid scenario, at this stage, this Court does not find it necessary to keep this writ petition pending since charge-sheet has already been filed. 5.

Hence, writ petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the subordinate Court, if situation so arises.

However, concerned police authorities are directed to maintain peace and tranquility at the locale. 7.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon usual undertakings. (SAUGATA BHATTACHARYYA, J.)
