Petitioner is in custody for more than three years. He prays for bail on the ground of delay in trial. 2.

Learned Advocate for the State submits report. The said report be kept on record.

We have considered the materials on record. From the report we note trial is at its fag end. Last prosecution witness is being examined. He assures this Court that trial is likely to conclude within six months subject to co-operation on behalf of the accused and other systemic reasons.

In the light of the aforesaid assurance and as trial is at its fag end, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

4. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
