The grievance of the petitioner is directed against unlawful disconnection of electricity to the premises of the petitioner.

It is fairly admitted that the outstanding amount due and payable in respect of the subject premises is Rs.1,93,841/-.

Bidyut Kumar Halder, Advocate instructed by Mr. Indranil Halder, Advocate unequivocally and unconditionally submit that they are ready and willing to pay 50 per cent of the disputed amount and seek liberal installments for the balance 50 per cent.

In view of the submission made by Dr.

Saha Roy, Advocate appearing on behalf of CESc Ltd., WPA 5385 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the petitioner to deposit 50 per cent of the above amount i.e. Rs.1,00,000/- within seven days from the date of passing of this order.

Upon payment of the said amount, CESC Ltd. is directed to reconnect the electricity connection to the above premises after payment of the additional reconnection charges.

Insofar as the balance amount is concerned, as prayed for on behalf of the petitioner, they are to pay the balance amount in five consecutive installments commencing from the 1st of every month i.e. 1st of April, 2026. It is made clear that in the event of any default of any kind whatsoever, the CESC Ltd. is at liberty to disconnect the electricity connection to the subject premises without any further order. For abundant caution, it is made clear that the Court is being invited to pass this order at the instance of the petitioner.
