The writ petitioner is represented by her sons, who have applied for leave to appear in person. Such leave is granted.

The petitioner had applied for information from the Deputy Director and S.P.I.O. Pension Provident Fund and Group Insurance, Government of West Bengal, regarding details of the amount of provident fund allotted to her, as well as other details. The request was made on 2nd January, 2020 under the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005. When the information was not received within the time stipulated, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the First Appellate Court of the Director, Pension and Provident Fund. The request for the information has been transferred by the Director of

Pension to the District Inspector of Schools, South 24 Parganas under Section 6(3) of the RTI Act. Indeed, the transfer ought to have been made to the S.P.I.O. District Inspector of Schools.

Be that as it may, the District Inspector of Schools, South 24 Parganas, shall furnish the information, more fully described in page 14 of the petition, to the writ petitioner. This information shall be furnished within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order, mandatorily and positively.

In view of the above, appeal filed by the petitioner before the State Information Commission is deemed infructuous and is hereby dismissed.

The petitioner shall communicate a copy of this order to the District Inspector of Schools, South 24 Parganas.

With the aforesaid direction, WPA No.6093 of 2021 is disposed of.
