Learned advocate for the State submits that out of the 15 witnesses proposed to be examined by the prosecution, 11 witnesses have already been examined. Learned advocate for the defacto-complainant is present and opposes the prayer for bail.
Having considered the advanced stage of the case, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.
Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.
However, the learned trial court would ensure that within the three months from the next date fixed, the evidence of the prosecution witnesses is complete. Accordingly, CRM(M) 645 of 2026 is dismissed. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
