Mr. Panchanan Hazra.....for the Respondents/ Writ Petitioners.

Dictated by Arijit Banerjee, J.

1.

Read our order dated January 30, 2025.

2.

Today, the State has filed a report. Let the same be kept with the records.

3.

Mr. Sirsanya Bandpadhyay, learned senior counsel tells us that pursuant to our earlier order, a computation of the compensation payable to the writ petitioners, in terms of the 2013 Act, was sent to the writ petitioners.

4.

Today, learned advocate representing the writ petitioners tells us that the computation was not strictly in accordance with the provisions of the 2013 Act and Sections 26 and 28 of the 2013 Act were not taken into consideration.

5.

The writ petitioners would be at liberty to file a written response to the computation sent to them by the State specifically pointing out why the computation is not acceptable to the writ petitioners. This will be done within four weeks

from date (March 27, 2025) as suggested by learned counsel for the petitioners.

6.

We trust and hope that since the State has agreed to pay compensation as computed in terms of the provisions of the 2013 Act, the disputes and differences will be ironed out by the competent authority in the administration. 7.

List these matters on April 10, 2025.
