(Through Video Conference) Mr. Robiul Islam Ms. Paramita Banerjee Mr. A Chakraborty ... for the petitioner Mr. Amitesh Banerjee Mr. Tarak Karan ... for the State Petitioner complains that the police are inactive with regard to two criminal proceedings.

Learned Senior Standing counsel for the State submits that both the criminal complaints were registered as FIR and that they relate to the same incident. He submits that in addition to the complaint noted in the petition, there is one more. All the three complaints are being investigated. Some persons were arrested but such persons however, are now on bail. In the facts of the present case, since the complaints stated in the writ petition are of June 2019, it would be appropriate to direct the police to conclude investigation in respect of the same as expeditiously as possible and submit their report before the jurisdictional court. It is expected that the report is submitted by the police within a period of six weeks from date.

W.P.A 6111 of 2021 is disposed of accordingly. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of the requisite formalities.
